SIX IN THE CITY - JAMAICA TOURIST ISSUE 11
Every night is ladies’ night at the Twisted Kilt Pub, the newest addition to Montego Bay’s Hip Strip. With the slogan “When the clock strikes six, all ladies get their fix,” the watering hole is toasting the ladies with a nightly ‘2 for 1’ Martini special every evening between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. Sponsored by Finlandia Vodka, the popular offer particularly appeals to the after-work crowd and vacationers who want to get a head start on a night of partying.

With its November 2008 opening, The Twisted Kilt has brought the Irish pub vibe to the north coast of the island. Typically themed, the bar’s décor features rich dark woods, plush banquettes, popular Irish proverbs on the walls, lots of Guinness curios and staff dressed in kilts to match the theme. Located on the waterfront next door to the popular Doctor’s Cave Beach, the bar’s windows and open air terrace offer spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. For sports enthusiasts, the pub’s large flat screen televisions carry all major sporting events on a daily basis.   While “Six in the city” is aimed at the girls on a night out, guys are more than welcome to join in the fun. To an eclectic selection of background music, The Twisted Kilt serves up delicious fare including menu hits like Chicken Wings, signature hamburgers such as the Twisted Kilt and the Kilarney. The classic Fish & Chips is always a favorite with pub-goers. Says co-owner Andre Dixon; “The Twisted Kilt is a great place for chilling or having a hearty meal with loved ones and friends. Come down to the pub and start your night-out on the right note.”
