STAR LINEUP CONFIRMED FOR 10TH AIR JAMAICA JAZZ & BLUES FEST - JAMAICA TOURIST #4
A star lineup of world class artists including Michael Bolton, Kenny Rogers and Cyndi Lauper is confirmed for the 10th Anniversary Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival. Set to take place at a new location in Rose Hall, Montego Bay, between January 25th - 27th, the one week event promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Emphasizing that the 2007 festival will be in keeping with the world-class standards of previous festivals, striking enhancements are under planning by The Festival’s organizers for the 10th Anniversary Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival. Says Walter Elmore, TurnKey Productions’ Chief executor; “To begin with, the festival is moving to a new and spacious property with additional amenities for the increased comfort of patrons.”

In addition to international superstars Michael Bolton, Cyndi Lauper and Kenny Rogers, Elmore confirms that the Art of Music line-up for the 2007 event will include Monty Alexander, Pieces of a Dream, Christopher Cross, Juan Areco, Shaggy and a host of other artistes soon to be announced. Adds Elmore; “The 2007 festival has also been extended to one week, from Sunday to Saturday, with the main concert nights being Thursday to Saturday.

In addition, satellite concerts are planned at various locations around MoBay earlier in the week.” The Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival started in October 1996 on the lawns of the Rose Hall Great House with some 3000 persons attending. Over a ten-year span, famous artists including George Benson, Air Supply, Patti Labelle, Al Jarreau, Alicia Keys, Kenny Rogers, Mary J Blige, James Ingram and Nancy Wilson have graced the festival stage. More than 40,000 visitors attended the festival last year.
